Public Events
Plant Sales: Each year we raise money for our garden by selling plants to the public so you can add them to your own garden! Sometimes we will combine the Plant Sale with a yard sale or BBQ, or have featured Arts & Crafts for sale as well! Volunteer Days: Interested in helping us out a bit just once or twice rather than joining as a member? We sometimes hold open volunteer days. You can also arrange to have a group volunteer day; great for things like scout groups, students, or employee charity projects. Contact us at info@garnergrows.com.
Holiday Presentations: Each year Garner Grows gives out candy (and garden info) at Trick or Treat The Trails at White Deer Park, and we also march in the Garner Town Christmas Parade.
Member Events
These are more frequent, routine events that will only show up on our calendar, not at the top of this page, but you are welcome to take a look at our calendar to see what our members get up to!
Workdays: The garden members get together a few times each week to work in either our primary garden at Thompson Road Park, or one of our satellite gardens. Days, locations and agendas will be sent out each week in emails, as well as be posted to our calendar. Non-members can receive weekly invitations to the primary workdays (but not the satellite ones), by visiting our Mailing Lists page and joining our Potential Members Mailing List.
Social Gatherings: (Members Only) At Garner Grows, it’s not “All work and no play”! In addition to all the hard work involved in maintaining the garden, we also engage in regular social gatherings like Potluck Dinners or group Field Trips. When you become a member of Garner Grows, you will grow not just food and flowers, but fellowship as well. These events will be announced on the same mailing list that we send out for workdays so you will always be kept in the loop!
