Come join us for Holiday fun and hot beverages in the garden! We will be teaching wreath making techniques and then get some hands on time crafting our own creations using plant material from the garden. We will have crafting supplies, and lots of plant material for use but feel free to bring extra along to use on your wreath and/or share with others. We recommend gloves and long sleeves for protection as some plants may be a bit spiky. We will have a hot tea bar set up with plants from our garden and more. A $5-$15 donation is encouraged but not required for taking home wreaths. Extra wreaths will be donated to Garner Senior Center to spread the holiday cheer!
We will have lots of plants and tools on hand for making wreaths but there will be almost 30 folks (so far) in attendance so some tools will have to be shared. If you have your own tools or a non glass/ceramic coffee cup that you’d like to bring, that would be helpful. We recommend you label it to make sure it doesn’t get confused with anyone else’s, and ask that everyone is careful not to walk off with items that do not belong to them. We will have ribbon for decorating the wreaths but please feel free to bring anything fun you’d like to add to your wreath or share with others, except glass ornaments.
Items we recommend bringing:
- Gloves
- Pruning shears
- Needle nose pliers
- Insulated bottle for warm drinks
