What: Raised Bed Building Workshop (Capacity: 40)
Our garden has been around for over a decade, and in that time we have built a lot of raised garden beds. We want to share what we’ve learned through trial and error with the community, to better equip you with the skills and information to make decisions about how to build your own raised beds. We will discuss the reason we’ve chosen the materials and method we currently use, as well as our previous experiences with other variations. After discussing pros and cons, participants will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience. We will show our technique step by step and work together in groups to assemble raised beds for the community
We will be working with heavy boards, sharp metal, and power tools; please bring and wear the appropriate safety gear: eye protection, closed toe shoes, and work gloves. The workshop will be held outdoors on the garden grounds, please dress accordingly.
