A Garner resident born and raised, Layla joined Garner Grows in 2014, and took on a leadership role in 2019. Their work securing grant funds was critical in funding our relocation to Thompson Road. They care deeply about building community and facilitating learning. They are a nerd at heart and are passionate about sharing the knowledge they’ve stashed in the corners of their brain. Permaculture Enthusiast and lover of all things livestock, Layla is your go-to person for questions about small scale animal care and homesteading.
Layla is joined at the garden by three other family members; their mother Pam, father Carlos, and sister Juliette.
